Showcase Ladies Night

On Thursday, August 20th, Showcase held an exclusive Ladies Night at their Kitsilano location. Customers who brought in a handbag or a pair of dress shoes as a donation to Dress for Success® received an additional 5% off their purchase. This wonderful event brought in $77.00 in cash donations and a number of fantastic purses, shoes, and accessories. Thanks to Showcase and our wonderful volunteers Ladies Night was a fabulous event.

Oakridge Centre Purse Drive

The Oakridge Centre Purse Drive was a great success. Thank you to everyone who visited Oakridge and donated a purse! Oakridge collected more than 300 purses and bags for us. Keep checking back for more information about how Oakridge Centre is helping Dress for Success® Vancouver.

Pricewaterhouse Coopers Team Volunteer Day

On Thursday August 6, the Pricewaterhouse Coopers Team volunteered to help out at the shop. They were fabulous and put in a full day of hard work. They cleaned the shop right down to the windows, sorted incoming clothing, steamed clothing from the pink room and on the floor, and did a beautiful job of merchandizing clothing and acessories. Thanks to the Pricewaterhouse Coopers volunteers for their incredible work ethic and positivity!

New $500 Scholarship for Professional Women's Group

One of our Professional Women's Group graduates has made a contribution of $500 towards a scholarship which will benefit one of our current PWG members. We are delighted that one of our past graduates is in a position to create a new scholarship for a PWG member looking to upgrade her skills.

Snoop Dogg and Lisa at the Vancouver Airport

While Lucia and Lisa were on their way to the PWG Success Summit in San Francisco they met a celebrity at the Vancouver Airport. Snoop Dogg was gracious enough to pose for a photo with Lisa, our PWG delegate. By chance, Lisa and Lucia travelled on the same flight as Snoop Dogg. This only increased their anticipation of the Summit put on by Dress for Success® Worldwide. Stay tuned for more news from the PWG Success Summit.
